Bill Gates in Krka National Park
National Park Krka (near Sibenik, Croatia) and an old town of Skradin were a holiday destination for Bill Gates, his wife Melinda and their three children in late June.
They arrived on a chartered mega yacht Alfa Nero, which anchored in nearby Prokljan Lake. They transferred by speedboat to the town of Skradin for a sightseeing tour and visited world-famous Krka National Park. Krka river with a breath taking displays of pristine waterfalls and lakes attracts around 700 000 visitors every year. This is Bill Gates’ second visit to Skradin andKrka National Park. The Queen of Jordan Rania, Formula 1 champion Michael Schumacher and Chelsea FC owner Roman Abramovic were among those visiting this fabulous Adriatic location in the past.
Alfa Nero yacht is no. 36 on the Top 100 Superyachts list for 2009. This 269 ft (82 m) long mega yacht was built by Oceanco in Holland in 2007.Designed by Nuvolari & Lenard, Alfa Nero has received a lot of praise. It is well known for a hydraulic system that elevates the pool floor to deck level where it becomes a helipad.Interior designer Alberto Pinto infused the interior with a hint of Art Deco.
