Northabout
Another Irish sailing boat that has many stories to tell was in Galway during the Volvo Ocean Race. Northabout is a 49 foot long modern aluminium sailing boat, built to a French design by the team under the direction of boat builder Jarlath Cunnane back in 2001.
Northabout took the expedition of leading Irish sailors and explorers retracing the famous Northwest Passage from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean.
